Robert Sheldon stands among today's most frequently performed composers of wind band repertoire. He serves as lead author of Sound Innovations for Concert Band and has earned recognition from prestigious organizations including the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. His compositions reach ensembles and audiences worldwide, appearing regularly on international concert and contest programs.
Sheldon maintains an active schedule creating new commissioned works and publishing numerous pieces for concert band annually. He serves as guest conductor for All-State and Regional Honor Bands while also working extensively as a music education clinician at colleges, universities, and state music education conferences. His conducting and teaching experience spans the United States as well as Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, and China, with performances of his works presented at distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Sydney Opera House, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In 2020, VanderCook College of Music awarded him an honorary doctorate.

Peter Loel Boonshaft stands out as one of today's most dynamic voices in music education. He currently serves as Director of Education for Jupiter Band Instruments and maintains an active schedule conducting and speaking throughout the United States and internationally. His weekly "Boonshaft's Blog" continues to reach and inspire music educators across the country.
His achievements have earned him widespread recognition. Boonshaft received the inaugural George M. Parks Award for Leadership in Music Education from the National Association for Music Education and Music For All. He holds memberships in Pi Kappa Lambda and Alpha Chi honor societies, and has been selected three times as a National Endowment for the Arts Artist in Residence. Additional honors include the Al G. Wright Award of Distinction from Women Band Directors International, official proclamations from five state governors, and a Certificate of Appreciation from former President Ronald Reagan. He has performed for presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
At Hofstra University, where he is Professor Emeritus of Music, Boonshaft was selected for the Center for Scholarly Research and Academic Excellence. Previously, he taught at Moravian College and the University of Hartford, where he received the Outstanding Music Educator Award and the Regent's Award twice. He founded and directed both the Pennsylvania Youth Honors Concert Band and the Connecticut Valley Youth Wind Ensemble. Boonshaft holds a Bachelor of Music (Summa Cum Laude), Master of Music Education in Conducting, and Doctor of Musical Arts degree, along with a Certificate from the Kodály Musical Training Institute, which he attended through a Connecticut General Fellowship.
