His compositions convey a distinctive artistic voice that connects powerfully with performers and listeners worldwide.
Sheldon's works appear regularly on international concert and competition programs. He maintains an active schedule accepting commissions and releasing multiple publications for concert band annually. His conducting appearances include guest positions with All-State and Regional Honor Bands across the country, while his clinical presentations reach music educators through college residencies, university seminars, and state Music Education Association conferences.

Peter Loel Boonshaft is recognized as one of today's most dynamic voices in music education. He serves as Director of Education for Jupiter Band Instruments and holds the position of Professor Emeritus of Music at Hofstra University, where he was selected for the Center for Scholarly Research and Academic Excellence. He has also received honorary life membership in the Tri-M Music Honor Society on three occasions.
Boonshaft has conducted and spoken throughout all fifty states and internationally, performing for former Presidents George H. W.
