About This Collection

Description

With over 5,300 titles, this collection spans everything from sacred motets to contemporary pop arrangements, all formatted as SATB octavos ready for rehearsal and performance. Teachers rely on perennial favorites like Dance! by Robert T. Gibson, Lovely Day arranged from Bill Withers, and Time After Time by Rob Hyman, each a staple in concert and festival settings. You'll find recorded accompaniments for most titles, contest-ready selections from NYSSMA and Texas UIL lists, and arrangements sourced from Broadway, film, and contemporary hits alongside timeless spirituals and traditional works.

Highlights

Teachers keep coming back to Dance! by Robert T. Gibson and Lovely Day (a divisi arrangement of the Bill Withers classic), both widely adopted for their accessibility and engagement factor. Mark Hayes's Over the Rainbow and Alan Billingsley's Don't Stop Believin' attract singers who want familiar material with sophisticated harmonic texture. Andy Beck's Carry the Light remains a popular choice for both concert and spiritual occasions.

Recently added

Recent additions include Dream as One by Miley Cyrus, Christmas Magic by Laufey, Comedian Harmonists by Carsten Gerlitz, and Six Liturgical Chants, No. 5: Transfiguration by Alexander Tcherepnin, expanding options for contemporary pop repertoire and liturgical settings.

Composer & Author Spotlight

Jay Althouse holds 563 titles in this collection and brings three decades of experience as both a composer and music publisher. His understanding of what works in rehearsal shows in Homeward Bound, one of his most performed pieces. Althouse studied music education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and spent years managing rights and licenses, knowledge that informs his prolific output for choirs at every level.

Andy Beck serves as Director of Choral Publications at Alfred Music and has over 450 works in print, including widely adopted method books like Sing at First Sight and Vocalize!. His arrangement of Time After Time demonstrates his gift for bridging popular song and choral technique. Beck's music circulates globally, and his dual role as publisher and composer gives him insight into what teachers actually need.

Mark Hayes is an award-winning pianist and conductor with over 1,750 published works across all genres. His arrangement of Over the Rainbow showcases his skill with melody and orchestration. Hayes holds a summa cum laude degree from Baylor and has guest conducted at Lincoln Center, the National Cathedral, and Carnegie Hall, bringing concert hall polish to educational repertoire.

Greg Gilpin has earned ASCAP recognition as a choral composer and conductor known for leading performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Ryman Auditorium. His Last Christmas arrangement captures both the familiar melody and sophisticated harmonic interest that keeps singers and audiences engaged. Gilpin's international appearances and reputation position him among the most respected voices in contemporary choral music.
