About the Composer: Andy Beck
Andy Beck serves as Director of Choral Publications at Alfred Music and has established himself as one of the most performed choral composers of our time, with more than 450 works for choirs, vocalists, and young singers currently available. His catalog spans from accessible choral literature to comprehensive vocal resources; he authored Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique, all foundational tools in choral programs nationwide.
Beyond the page, Beck maintains an active conducting and performance schedule, having served as guest conductor for honor choirs and all-state ensembles across the Southeast and as a clinician and adjudicator for music educators throughout North America. He holds degrees in Music Education from both Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, brings experience as a tenor soloist and member of the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, and has contributed arrangements and vocals to Alfred's studio recordings since 1992.
