Vicki Tucker Courtney

Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and developed her compositional voice through rigorous training at North Texas State University, where she accompanied choirs while deepening her understanding of vocal writing. Her prolific output spans choral octavos, piano works, handbells, and solo voice literature, earning her multiple ASCAP Plus Awards and mentorship from Mark Hayes. By 2009, she had published 100 titles; by 2017, that number exceeded 350.

Courtney has maintained an active teaching studio throughout her career, working with piano and composition students of all ages while also serving churches through both traditional and contemporary music. She now resides in Columbia, Tennessee, and continues to compose full time.
