Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano studies at age four and developed her compositional voice through rigorous training at North Texas State University, where she accompanied choirs and deepened her understanding of vocal writing. Her prolific output spans choral repertoire, piano works, handbells, and solo voice music; she has received multiple ASCAP Plus Awards throughout her career and studied composition under the mentorship of Dove Award winner Mark Hayes. Based in Columbia, Tennessee, Courtney writes full time and maintains an active teaching studio, instructing piano and composition students across all levels.
With over 350 published titles to her name since reaching her first 100 in 2009, Courtney has established herself as a reliable voice in sacred and secular choral literature.
