About the Composer: Vicki Tucker Courtney
Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and developed deep roots in choral music through her work as an accompanist at North Texas State University. Her compositional career spans choral, piano, handbells, and solo voice arrangements, earning her multiple ASCAP Plus Awards and mentorship from Dove Award winner Mark Hayes in the early 2000s.
Courtney has become a prolific composer, reaching 100 published titles by 2009 and surpassing 350 by 2017. She maintains an active presence in both traditional and contemporary church music while teaching piano and composition to students of all ages from her home in Columbia, Tennessee.
