Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and pursued classical training through North Texas State University, where she accompanied choirs extensively. Her compositional voice developed through mentorship from Dove Award winner Mark Hayes in 2002 and 2004, launching a prolific career that has produced over 350 published works across choral, piano, handbells, and vocal genres.
Courtney is a multiple recipient of ASCAP Plus Awards and maintains an active practice as a full-time composer, church musician, and piano and composition instructor. Her catalog spans sacred and secular idioms, reflecting both her classical foundation and her deep engagement with choral writing.
