Andy Beck

Andy Beck leads choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works, vocal resources, and children's musicals that are performed by singers across the globe. His pedagogical resources—including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique—have become staples in music classrooms and rehearsal spaces.

Beyond the page, Beck remains deeply active in music education as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for honor choirs and all-state ensembles throughout the United States and Southeast. A classically trained tenor with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree from Northwest Missouri State University, he performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has been an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992. His work as a commissioned composer and conductor, combined with his directing of musical theatre, demonstrates a commitment to making choral music both accessible and artistically rigorous.
