About the Composer: Andy Beck
Andy Beck leads choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works and vocal resources performed by singers across the globe. His published resources include the widely adopted sight-singing curricula Sing at First Sight and Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, as well as Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique. Beyond the page, Beck maintains an active career as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, and has been commissioned to conduct and compose for honor choirs throughout the Southeast and beyond.
A trained tenor with degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, Beck brings classroom experience and performance fluency to every piece he writes. He performs regularly with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has been a studio vocalist for Alfred Music since 1992. His work reflects a deep commitment to choral literacy, pedagogical clarity, and musical substance.
