Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht has shaped choral music education for over three decades as a composer, conductor, and clinician with a distinctive focus on integrating movement into choral performance. Her catalog includes more than 600 published choral works alongside 75 stage musicals and songbooks, and she has received the ASCAP Special Music Award annually since 1987. She has led honor choirs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, bringing her pedagogical philosophy to festivals nationwide.

Early in her career, Albrecht served as Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications at major educational music publishers, culminating in her tenure at Alfred Music. Her academic background spans drama and music, with degrees from Rollins College, the University of Miami (where she earned both an M.A. in Drama and an M.M. in Accompanying), and faculty positions at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. In 2021, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both institutions where she studied and now serves as a Board member.
