Carol Matz

Carol Matz brings three decades of experience as both a piano pedagogue and prolific arranger to every title she creates. She has authored and arranged over 300 works for piano students, drawing on formal training in composition, arranging, and orchestration from the University of Miami. Her teaching background informs everything she writes; she understands what motivates students and what keeps them engaged.

Matz is best known for her Famous & Fun series, which appears in studios and classrooms worldwide. Beyond piano, she has composed for orchestras, jazz ensembles, brass quintets, and string quartets, and has created studio arrangements for recording artists throughout the Miami area.
