Composer & Author Spotlight

Christine H. Barden is an internationally recognized authority on early childhood music and co-author of the Music for Little Mozarts method. She holds a degree in piano performance from San Francisco State University and currently teaches prize-winning piano and composition students in Reno, Nevada, where she also directs Music for Little Mozarts preschool classes.

Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk teaches class piano, piano, and piano pedagogy at California State University, Northridge, and holds degrees in piano performance and pedagogy from Ohio University and Northwestern University, plus an Ed.D. in piano pedagogy from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her background coordinating piano programs at both the university and preparatory levels informs the pedagogical structure of the series.

Dr. E. L. Lancaster served as Executive Editor of Piano for Alfred Music and was formerly Professor of Music at the University of Oklahoma, where he taught piano pedagogy and coordinated the group piano program. He holds degrees from Murray State University, the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, and brings decades of curriculum development experience to this method's design.
