Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works now in active use by singers across the globe. His pedagogical resources, including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique, have shaped how countless choirs develop musicianship and technique. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree from Northwest Missouri State University.

Beyond his publishing role, Beck is an accomplished tenor and frequent guest conductor for honor choirs, all-state ensembles, and festivals throughout the Southeast and beyond. His work as clinician, adjudicator, and musical theatre director reflects a deep commitment to choral artistry and music literacy at every level. Since 1992, he has also performed as a studio singer for Alfred Music, bringing both compositional insight and practical performance experience to every piece he creates.
