About the Author: Dennis Alexander

Dennis Alexander has shaped educational piano pedagogy for decades through his prolific output with Alfred Music Publishing. Since 1986, his compositions have become foundational to piano curricula worldwide, earning him recognition as one of the most influential composers of instructional piano literature. He served as piano department chair and pedagogy instructor at the University of Montana for 24 years before relocating to California, where he taught at Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge.
