Andy Beck

Andy Beck serves as Director of Choral Publications at Alfred Music, where he has shaped a catalog of over 450 choral works, vocal resources, and children's musicals. His compositions and arrangements are performed by singers across the globe, and his pedagogical resources—including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique—have become standards in choral education.

Beyond the page, Beck is an active guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician throughout the United States and internationally. He has been commissioned as composer and conductor for honor choirs of all ages, including all-state ensembles across the Southeast. A tenor himself, he performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has maintained an active role as an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992. His academic training includes a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University, grounding his work in both artistry and pedagogy.
