Andy Beck

Andy Beck serves as Director of Choral Publications at Alfred Music, where he has shaped the choral catalog for years. His compositional output spans over 450 works for choir, vocalists, and young singers, alongside foundational choral resources including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique. His music reaches singers across the globe, as evidenced by countless YouTube performances from school choirs, community ensembles, and honor groups.

Beyond the page, Beck is an active guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator working with educators and students throughout the United States and internationally. He has served as commissioned composer and guest conductor for all-state honor choirs and regional ensembles, particularly throughout the Southeast. A trained tenor with degrees from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, Beck brings practical experience to his work, having performed with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and contributed as a studio singer for Alfred Music since 1992.
