About the Arranger: Mark Hayes
Mark Hayes brings three decades of experience as a composer, arranger, and conductor to everything he writes. His catalog exceeds 1,750 published works spanning sacred and secular choral music, orchestral works, and an extensive body of piano literature. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree summa cum laude in Piano Performance from Baylor University and has conducted at Lincoln Center, the National Cathedral, and Carnegie Hall, premiering major works including his Requiem at Lincoln Center in 2013 and again at St. Ignatius Basilica in Rome as part of a Vatican-sponsored festival.
Beyond his concert and choral work, Hayes has composed for musical theater, orchestrated award-winning productions, and served as a guest conductor for honor choirs throughout North America. In 2010, Baylor University recognized him with the Award for Exemplary Leadership in Christian Music. His arrangement work reflects the same craftsmanship evident in his original compositions, whether scoring for treble voices, mixed ensembles, or full orchestra.
