JaRod Hall

JaRod Hall brings both composer's vision and conductor's practical wisdom to his work. A Texas native trained at the University of North Texas and Texas State University, Hall spent eight years leading middle and high school bands to consistent sweepstakes recognition at UIL evaluations. His 2018 non-varsity band at Griffin Middle School made history as the first in Frisco ISD to earn the state-level Citation of Excellence, a distinction awarded to only the top two non-varsity ensembles in Class A.

As a performer, Hall's resume spans principal tuba roles with the Texas State Wind Symphony, appearances with the North Texas Wind Symphony and 3 O'Clock Lab Band, and four consecutive selections to the Texas All-State Band (including principal jazz bass trombone in 2010). His compositions populate the Texas Prescribed Music List, Bandworld's Top 100, and J.W. Pepper's Editor's Choice selections. His original work "Through the Storm" won the 2021 Barbara Buehlman Prize for middle school band.
