About the Arranger: Jack Zaino
Jack Zaino brings deep roots in New England choral music to his work as a composer and arranger. He earned degrees in voice and music education from the University of Connecticut, where he sang with the Chamber Singers, and holds a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from UConn. Before moving into his current role as choral editor and clinician at Alfred Music, he taught middle school music in Connecticut's public schools and continues to participate actively in the state's choral community.
Zaino's arrangement work spans contemporary popular music, from artists like Kacey Musgraves and Lizzo to country acts like Dan + Shay. His approach centers on uncovering artistic depth in the styles he arranges. In 2020, Connecticut ACDA recognized him as Young Choral Director of the Year, and he currently serves as composition chair on the state organization's repertoire and resources committee. He also sits on the programming committee for Consonare Choral Community, a local ensemble dedicated to fostering connection through singing.
