About the Composer: Rodney Lamar Page

Rodney Lamar Page grew up in Southfield, Michigan and picked up the violin at age 10. His musical training deepened at Michigan State University, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in music education and also became an accomplished pianist during his time there.

After college, Page spent years teaching music in Michigan public schools, including the East Lansing and St. Johns districts. He later transitioned to work as a music clinician throughout Michigan, where his expertise in string pedagogy and accessible composition became widely recognized. He lives in Lansing with his family.
