This version of Rampage! arranged by Todd Stalter is part of our Alfred FLEX offerings and is designed with maximum flexibility for use by any mix of instruments---wind, strings, and percussion, including like- or mixed-ensembles with as few as 5 players. The suggested instrumentation and a customizable Teacher Map will help you plan out how to best assign parts to suit your ensemble's needs. It also comes with supplemental parts for maximum flexibility. With the purchase of this piece, permission is granted to photocopy the parts as needed for your ensemble. A percussion accompaniment track is also available as a free download. String parts have been carefully edited with extra fingerings and appropriate bowings to support students in mixed ensembles playing in less familiar keys.

About the Composer: Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter spent 34 years as Director of Bands at Eureka High School in Illinois, building a program that earned 16 Class 1A state marching championships and consistently superior concert ratings. His ensembles performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Walt Disney World, and multiple state tournament finals, establishing him as a fixture in Illinois music education and earning him a place in the State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame.

Beyond his classroom work, Stalter has guest conducted All-State ensembles in Georgia and Delaware, adjudicated extensively at state and regional levels, and presented at major music educator conferences on pedagogy and composition. His published works for band and string orchestra circulate widely in schools across the country and appear in the GIA series Teaching Music Through Performance in Band. He holds degrees from Illinois State University in music education and trumpet performance, studying conducting with Stephen K. Steele and trumpet with members of the President's Own Marine Band.
