The Level 2B Lesson Book of Premier Piano Course continues the expansion of note-reading skills begun in Levels 1A, 1B and 2A and includes melodic and harmonic 7ths and octaves to aid the student with moving freely around the keyboard. New items include the introduction of C and G major scales as well as three-note V7 chords in C and G. About the Author: Dennis Alexander

Dennis Alexander has shaped generations of young pianists through his work as a composer, pedagogue, and performer. Since 1986, his partnership with Alfred Music has produced over 400 publications that define elementary and intermediate piano education. After 24 years leading the piano pedagogy program at the University of Montana, Alexander relocated to California, where he taught at Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge before settling in Albuquerque. His tenure as piano department chair and his contributions to state and national music teacher conferences have made him a trusted voice in piano pedagogy.

Beyond the studio, Alexander maintains an active recital career as soloist and collaborative artist, having performed at Carnegie Recital Hall and across Asia.
