Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral music for over thirty years as a composer, conductor, and clinician. Her catalog exceeds 600 published works alongside 75 musicals and songbooks, earning her consistent ASCAP Special Music Award recognition since 1987. She has led honor choirs at major venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and served as Director of School Choral and Vocal Publications at Alfred Music, where she shaped the company's educational choral catalog.

Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976) and the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1979; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979). Her collaborative partnership with composer and arranger Jay Althouse has produced numerous works for choral educators. She has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College, and received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College in 2021.
