About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett brings nearly four decades of teaching experience to his work as a composer and clinician. Based in Alabama, he spent 26 years directing the band program at Thompson High School in Alabaster, earning the Phi Beta Mu "Bandmaster of the Year" Award in 2015 and six NBA Citations of Excellence throughout his career.

Since retiring from full-time teaching, Bubbett has remained deeply engaged with music education through guest clinician work across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, as well as adjudication and presentations at major conferences including the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. His compositions are published through multiple houses including RWS Music, Belwin, and Make Music, and he actively conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band. He holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, and ASCAP.
