About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett taught concert band for 26 years at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, following a 38-year career in music education. A six-time NBA Citation of Excellence recipient and 2015 Phi Beta Mu Bandmaster of the Year, he has left an indelible mark on Alabama's band program through both his conducting and his prolific output as a composer.

Since retiring from full-time teaching, Bubbett has remained deeply engaged with the band world as a clinician, adjudicator, and active composer. His works appear on the rosters of publishers including Belwin, RWS Music, Wingert-Jones, and Excelcia Music Publishing. He holds memberships in the National Band Association, ASCAP, and the National Association for Music Education, and currently conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band.
