A trumpeter educated at Manhattan School of Music (master's in orchestral trumpet performance) and University of Miami (bachelor's in instrumental performance), he has performed with ensembles ranging from the Dallas Winds and Lone Star Wind Orchestra to the Boston Crusaders and Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. His work as a band director, private instructor, and teaching artist in Dallas has shaped his understanding of what young musicians need to play and hear.

Jiménez's original compositions and arrangements have been performed across university and secondary school settings, from Miami Dade College to Manhattan School of Music. His music speaks directly to the developing band repertoire, combining accessible writing with musical substance. A native of Havana, Cuba, Jiménez channels his diverse performance background into scores that engage both players and audiences.
