About the Composer: Earlene Rentz

Earlene Rentz brings three decades of hands-on experience in choral music to her composing and arranging work. She spent seven years directing choral programs across elementary, junior high, and high school levels in public schools, then transitioned to higher education where she taught choral music pedagogy for twelve years. Her deep understanding of what singers at different developmental stages can accomplish informs every piece she writes.

Rentz has established herself as a prolific voice in choral publishing, with over 700 compositions placed across 17 publishers. She has been invited to conduct All-State choirs in Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and Alabama, giving her ongoing insight into the repertoire that works in performance contexts. She is based in North Carolina and continues to compose and arrange.
