About the Composer: June C. Montgomery

June C. Montgomery earned her degree from Florida State University and has spent more than two decades teaching private piano while also working as an elementary music educator. Her classroom experience directly shaped her approach to composition; she was recognized as an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America and remained active in Delta Kappa Gamma throughout her teaching career.

Beyond her solo piano works for Alfred Publishing, Montgomery has authored substantial curriculum materials including the FUNdamental Musicianship Skills series, the Piano Camp series, and Theory Through the Year. She has collaborated with respected pedagogues Maurice Hinson and Martha Mier, led clinics at state and national music education conferences, and served as both pianist and children's choir director in her church. Montgomery currently serves as carillonneur at the Stephen Foster Memorial.
