Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 works for choral ensembles, vocalists, and children's theater. His pieces circulate globally, performed by singers across every age range and skill level. Beyond the page, Beck serves as a guest conductor, choreographer, clinician, and adjudicator, working with honor choirs and all-state groups throughout the Southeast and beyond. He holds degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University.

A tenor himself, Beck performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has directed musical theater productions. His commitment to music literacy and choral artistry flows directly into his published work, including sight-singing resources and vocal technique books that have become standards in choral classrooms. Since 1992, he has also lent his voice to recordings as an Alfred Music studio singer.
