Kodály Approach: Teacher's Manual

Elementary music teachers working with grades K-6 who want a structured Kodály-based curriculum. This manual works for teachers new to the approach as well as those already familiar with Kodály principles and looking for a classroom-tested progression.

Use this as your core elementary music curriculum from kindergarten through sixth grade, building literacy and aural skills progressively across the three grade bands. The sequential design means students encounter skills in a logical order, so skills from one grade level support the next. You can also use individual workbooks to supplement an existing program like Threshold to Music, filling specific gaps in ear training, rhythm work, or composition.
