Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht brings three decades of experience in choral publishing and education to her compositions. As Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications for major educational publishers, she shaped how thousands of directors approached their repertoire selections. A regular clinician at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, she has also guest-conducted honor choirs nationwide. Since 1987, she has received the ASCAP Special Music Award annually, with over 600 choral publications and 75 larger works currently in print.

Educated at Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976) and the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979), Albrecht has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. Her deep knowledge of what works in rehearsal and performance stems from decades spent in the classroom and at the podium. In 2021, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.
