Irv Rothenberg

Irv Rothenberg holds degrees in Music Education and Orff-Schulwerk from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. His 25 years teaching elementary music in the Smyrna School District, combined with his direction of the 140-voice Optimistic Voices of Smyrna Middle School, shaped his gift for writing music that engages young singers and brings joy to rehearsal.

Beyond the classroom, Rothenberg has directed over ten Broadway-style musicals and served as Musical Director for numerous community productions. He remains active as a conductor for two church choirs in Delaware and continues to publish compositions through Alfred Publishing. His work reflects a deep understanding of what works in real ensemble settings.
