About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett spent 38 years in music education, with 26 of those years directing the band program at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. His contributions to the field earned him six NBA Citations of Excellence and the Phi Beta Mu Rho Chapter 2015 Bandmaster of the Year Award.

Beyond his classroom work, Bubbett has remained deeply engaged in the broader music education community as a clinician, adjudicator, and composer. He has guest-led clinics and adjudicated festivals across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, and served as a clinician and panelist for both the Alabama Music Educators Association In-Service Conference and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. His compositions appear through Belwin, Wingert-Jones, Excelcia Music Publishing, and several other publishers. Bubbett currently conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band and holds membership in the National Association for Music Education, the National Band Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, and ASCAP.
