About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett spent 38 years in music education, with 26 of those years directing the band program at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. His contributions to the field earned him six NBA Citations of Excellence and recognition as Phi Beta Mu's Bandmaster of the Year in 2015. Since retiring from full-time teaching, he has remained deeply engaged with the profession as a clinician, composer, and adjudicator across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.

Bubbett's work as a composer is published through multiple houses including Belwin, Wingert-Jones, and Excelcia Music Publishing. He serves as a panelist for major conferences including the Alabama Music Educators Association In-Service Conference and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. Active in professional organizations including the NBA, AMEA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and ASCAP, he currently conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band.
