Andy Beck

Andy Beck leads choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 choral works now in active circulation. His output spans secular and sacred repertoire, vocal resources for educators, and children's musicals; his contributions to sight-singing pedagogy include Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique. A accomplished tenor and musical theatre director, he has performed as an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992 and sings with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir.

Beck's work as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician takes him throughout the United States and internationally. He has served as commissioned composer and guest conductor for honor choirs and all-state ensembles across the Southeast, and his music reaches singers worldwide (a fact confirmed by the extensive YouTube catalog of performances).
