Suzuki Flute School

Teachers keep coming back to Suzuki Flute School, Volume 1 (International Edition) and Volume 2, the cornerstones of early flute study. Both volumes include coordinated recordings and are structured to build technique through carefully sequenced folk songs and classical arrangements that students can master through repetition and ear training.

Volume 2 is now available with online audio accompaniment, giving teachers a flexible alternative to physical CDs while maintaining the core method structure.

Shinichi Suzuki developed the Suzuki method around the principle that musicality and technical skill develop together through listening, imitation, and parental involvement. His approach fundamentally changed how young musicians are taught worldwide, and his flute school remains central to that philosophy.

Toshio Takahashi and Kenji Yamashita collaborated on the recorded accompaniments for Suzuki Flute School Volumes 3, 4, and 5 (Revised), providing the listening models that students use to internalize intonation, phrasing, and interpretation before playing.
