About the Composer: Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter built a nationally recognized band program at Eureka High School in Illinois, where he directed the ensemble for 34 years. His marching band earned 16 Class 1A state championships, his concert band achieved consistent superior ratings at state contests, and his groups performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Walt Disney World, and multiple bowl game festivals. He was inducted into the Illinois State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame.

Beyond his tenure as band director, Stalter has conducted All-State bands in Georgia and Delaware, adjudicated extensively at state and regional levels, and presented clinics on composition, conducting, and music education across the Midwest. His compositions for band and string orchestra are performed nationwide and appear in state festival and contest catalogs. He studied trumpet performance and conducting at Illinois State University, where he worked with members of the President's Own United States Marine Band.
