About the Composer: Douglas E. Wagner
Douglas E. Wagner grew up in Chicago and earned degrees in music from Butler University before spending three decades as a high school music director and administrator. His classroom experience shaped a compositional voice rooted in what young musicians can achieve and what teachers need for their programs.
Since 1973, Wagner has published more than 3,500 compositions across concert band, choir, orchestra, handbell ensemble, organ, piano, and voice. His works have circulated in well over seventeen million copies worldwide and appear regularly in concert halls, broadcasts, and educational settings across the United States and internationally. He now lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sandy.
