Carl Strommen stands among the most frequently performed composer-arrangers in North America and abroad, with works spanning concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and vocal literature. His music appears regularly on concert programs, in film and television productions, and at festivals across the country. A tireless clinician and commissioned composer, Strommen has earned the ASCAP Standard Writers Award year after year, a testament to his sustained creative output.

Strommen studied composition at the City College of New York and maintains deep ties to music education as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus. Based on Long Island, he divides his time between New York and Colorado, where he spends extended periods with family in Denver and Boulder.
