Jon Bubbett taught concert band for 26 years at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, before retiring after nearly four decades in music education. A six-time recipient of the NBA Citation of Excellence Award and the 2015 Phi Beta Mu "Bandmaster of the Year," he has established himself as a respected clinician, adjudicator, and composer across the Southeast.

Bubbett remains deeply engaged in the band world through guest clinician work, festival adjudication, and his own compositions published across multiple music publishers. He conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band and holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, and ASCAP.
