About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett taught concert band for 26 years at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, before retiring after a 38-year career in music education. His contributions to the field have been recognized six times with the NBA Citation of Excellence Award, and he received the Phi Beta Mu Bandmasters of the Year Award in 2015.

Beyond the classroom, Bubbett has remained deeply engaged with the band world as a clinician, adjudicator, and active composer. He has guest-conducted and adjudicated festivals across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, and served as a clinician-panelist for regional and national music education conferences. His published works appear through Belwin, Make Music, Wingert-Jones, Excelcia Music Publishing, and several other publishers. He currently conducts the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band and holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, and ASCAP.
