About the Arranger: Jay Althouse
Jay Althouse holds degrees in Music Education and Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus. His career spans both the publishing side of music education and creative composition; he spent eight years managing rights and licensing for a major educational music publisher and served on the Executive Board of the Music Publishers Association of America.
With over 800 choral works in print, Althouse has established himself as a prolific voice in choral music across all skill levels. His compositions are performed widely throughout English-speaking countries, and he is a writer member of ASCAP with multiple Special Awards for his work. Beyond composing, he has co-written children's musicals with Sally K. Albrecht, compiled vocal solo collections, authored pedagogical resources including The Complete Choral Warm-up Book and Accent on Composers, and contributed to national arts organizations including the Folk Art Society of America.
