Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral music for over four decades as a composer, arranger, conductor, and publisher. Her catalog exceeds 600 choral works and 75 musicals, earning her consecutive ASCAP Special Music Awards since 1987. She spent more than 30 years directing school choral and vocal publications at major educational publishers, including Alfred Music, while simultaneously conducting honor choirs at prestigious venues like Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center.

Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976) and the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979). She has taught in music departments at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. Her contributions to music education and leadership earned her the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.
