About the Composer: Rossano Galante

Rossano Galante grew up in Buffalo, New York, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Trumpet Performance from SUNY Buffalo in 1992. That same year, he was selected as one of nineteen worldwide applicants to the University of Southern California's Film Scoring Program, where he studied under the late Jerry Goldsmith, the Academy Award-winning composer of The Omen.

Since relocating to California in 1999, Galante has established himself as a composer and orchestrator working alongside two-time Oscar-nominated composer Marco Beltrami, as well as Christophe Beck, Brian Tyler, and Christopher Lennertz. He has served as orchestrator on over eighty studio films, including the Avengers, A Quiet Place, Fast X, and The Super Mario Brothers Movie. Beyond film work, Galante maintains an active career in concert music, with more than 68 published compositions for band and orchestra released through Alfred, Schirmer, Hafabra, C.L. Barnhouse, Musikverlag Frank, and Dehaske/Curnow, and continues to receive commissions from ensembles worldwide.
