About the Arranger: Elena Roussanova Lucas

Elena Roussanova Lucas studied composition at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire of Music in Moscow, where she earned the Red Diploma in Composition, Music History, Music Theory, and Instrumentation under the mentorship of Tihon Khrennikov and Tatiana Choodova. She also completed advanced studies in piano pedagogy and piano accompaniment at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music College in Moscow and is a member of the United Russian Composers Union.

Her orchestral and chamber works have been performed by major Russian ensembles including The Tchaikovsky State Orchestra of Moscow and The Radio and TV Orchestra of Moscow, as well as international soloists and chamber groups. Lucas has presented masterclasses in composition and has performed as a pianist throughout Russia, Europe, and the United States. She has taught at Boston University.
