About the Composer: Jack Bullock

Jack Bullock earned degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in Music Education, establishing himself as both a serious scholar and working musician. His performance credentials include studies with prominent trumpet teachers and performances with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, alongside extensive work with regional and touring ensembles across the United States.

As a composer and arranger, Bullock has created over 600 works spanning concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band. He co-authored the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and contributed arrangements to Music Expressions, Alfred Music's comprehensive school music curriculum. His twenty years teaching instrumental music in the classroom, including seven years as assistant band director at Ithaca College's School of Music, inform his understanding of what works in rehearsal. Bullock has served on the faculty at Ithaca College and chaired its Music Education Department, while conducting clinics and workshops throughout North America and England.
