Robert Sheldon

Robert Sheldon stands among the most frequently performed composers in the wind band repertoire. His works appear regularly on state and national contest lists, and his commissions span concert halls from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. He has received honors from the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and ASCAP, and holds a honorary doctorate from VanderCook College of Music.

Beyond composing, Sheldon co-authored Sound Innovations for Concert Band and maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor for All-State and regional honor bands. He has clinicked and presented at universities and state music education conferences across the United States and internationally, including appearances in Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, and China.
