About the Composer: Robert Sheldon
Robert Sheldon's compositions appear on contest lists and concert stages worldwide, performed by ensembles at every level. His work with Sound Innovations and his prolific output of concert band music have made him a defining voice in the genre, recognized with honors from the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and ASCAP.
Sheldon maintains an active schedule as guest conductor for All-State and Regional Honor Bands, clinician, and composer. His music has been heard at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Kennedy Center. VanderCook College of Music awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2020.
