Davis Dorrough combines deep performance training with a sustained commitment to piano pedagogy and music education advocacy. He earned his Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma, where he studied under Jane Magrath and Barbara Fast, and his B.A. in Music from Arkansas Tech University under Timothy Smith. A respected voice in keyboard teaching circles, he regularly presents at the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, the MTNA Conference, the National Music Council of the U.S., and Music Ed Connect.

Dorrough's contributions to music education extend across authorship, composition, and institutional leadership. He has co-authored ten educational books, including the Easy Piano Lead Sheets and Chord Charts series, and composed numerous piano works designed to engage and inspire young musicians. His service to the music teaching profession includes roles as Chair of the National Certification Commission for MTNA, contributor to the MTNA Business Digest, and member of the National Conference Planning Committee. His impact has been recognized through the MTNA MarySue Harris Studio Teacher Fellowship Award, the Piano Technicians Guild Foundation Award, and the MTNA Foundation Fellow Award.
